ABOUT THE CLUB

Students Initiative in Palliative Care (SIP) is a student initiation for manifestation of community participation in palliative care. The unit guarantees the consistent engagement of students in raising awareness, providing direct patient care, and organizing volunteers, supplies, and funds for benefits of the sufferer and elderly. Palliative care engagement through old age home visits intensifies the compassionate nature of student communities.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CLUB

  • Enhance skills related to communication, empathy, and ethical decision-making in the context of palliative care.
  • Extending emotional as well as psychological support to the needed community.
  • Organizing awareness campaigns to popularize palliative care among the student community.
  • Imparting training sessions to promote sense of social responsibility among students.
  • Encourage collaboration on projects with government agencies, established palliative care organizations and practitioners.
