Safa College of Arts and Science Pookkattiri is one among the leading colleges in the self-financing sector affiliated to the University of Calicut, run by The Orphans Educational and Charitable Trust,Pookkattiri. Started in 2009 with four undergraduate courses, trhe college now offers nine UG courses ion wide range of subjects. Situated at lovely hillside at Pookkatiri surrounded by other institutions of SAFA group,maintains a calm and serene atmosphere and a sound moral and social background at a distance of 5kms from Valanchery town in Malappuram District, easily reached by road from all directions.

Every society's future depends on the equality of its youth.Young people play a significant role in nation-building, The role played by young people in nation building is tremendous and it is here that educational institutions have a significant role to play.In the genuine spirit of education, the focus should be on harnessing youthful energy to build complete individuals, with equal emphasis on intellectual,physicaland emotional growth. We, Safa College of Arts and Science College hold this particular aim of education close to our hearts: to mould young men and women into responsible, diligent,courageous and compassionate human beings who will be change agents in the construction of the future society.
