OBJECTIVES

  • To ensure safety of women, both students and employees, from sexual harassments.
  • To educate women their obligations and rights regarding sexual harassment.
  • To offer counseling assistance in resolving delicate circumstances or experience.
  • To promote healthy and friendly atmosphere in the campus, ensuring dignity and justice.
  • To develop brave and confidence among the students to report mistreatments.

Functions

  1. Receiving Complaints: The ICC is responsible for receiving and documenting complaints of sexual harassment or discrimination from employees. They may provide various channels for employees to submit complaints, such as an online portal, email, or in-person meetings.
  2. Investigating Complaints: After receiving a complaint, the ICC conducts a thorough investigation to gather evidence and determine the validity of the complaint. This may involve interviewing the complainant, the alleged harasser, and any witnesses, as well as reviewing relevant documents or evidence.
  3. Maintaining Confidentiality: It's essential for the ICC to maintain strict confidentiality throughout the investigation process to protect the privacy of the parties involved and prevent any potential retaliation against the complainant
  4. Providing Support: The ICC may offer support services to the complainant, such as counseling or legal assistance, to help them navigate the process and ensure their well-being during and after the investigation.
  5. Making Recommendations: Based on the findings of the investigation, the ICC may make recommendations to the organization's management regarding disciplinary action, remedial measures, or changes to policies and procedures to prevent future incidents of harassment or discrimination.
  6. Monitoring Compliance: The ICC may also be responsible for monitoring the organization's compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to sexual harassment and discrimination and ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to address any identified issues.
